yeah, N.E.R.D is a band name too. But thats used much in internet. for example "nerd" community orkut. nerd means someone who is kind of kharkhoon! and expert in his field (especially in computers) but bad in social activity, stiff or not much friendly! (somehow). I checked it in American Heritage with Hossein Haery...
